Blizzard Updates 'Overwatch'; Adds New Game Browser For PS4, Xbox One And PC

Overwatch has become one of the best games to be released in 2016 and has bagged several awards. The multi-player first-person shooter has received a new update in which players can share their custom game modes with others.

Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of Overwatch game, as updated the game with a new feature called "Game Browser." The new feature is available across all platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The new Overwatch update has been released just ahead of the launch of Season 4.

The "Game Browser" allows the players to modify the entire Overwatch experience radically and share with others, unlike the standard Custom Game mode that lets gamers change only a handful of features. Players can also find other custom games as well in the "Game Browser," reported IGN.

"Game Browser" is basically an extension of Overwatch's Custom Game mode that lets users create their own custom games, change the rules and let share their creations with a wider range of players. Players can toggle switches and adjust game modes, movement speed, hero abilities, health damage, etc. Fellow players can find the game and participate by giving permissions to Friends, Invite Only, or Public, reported Polygon.

The gamers can create a new game in the "Game Browser" after entering the Arcade and clicking the Create Game button. Under the Settings menu, gamers can customise and modify various characteristics of the game characters. The video details Game Browser feature in the new Overwatch update.

"For example, if you want to increase Pharah's rocket speed or remove the cooldown from McCree's Combat Roll, those options are at your fingertips," according to the announcement on the Overwatch official website. "If you'd like to create an Ilios-only map rotation or remove a specific hero from players' options, the power is yours," added the statement.

"Game Browser" is an incremental update to the Overwatch and the Overwatch team is already working on new features for the upcoming versions of the "Game Browser." The future updates will deliver even more control over the game experience.
