While speaking at a reception for the Irish Prime minister, Vice President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, told a joke: "Lubricated has a different meaning." The Irish Prime Minister, Enda Kenny, seemed to enjoy the joke enough, saying that Biden "seems to have an inexhaustible supply of Irish sayings." Of course, hearing such a joke has stirred up a little controversy, but it seems like people are not taking it to seriously. All in all, it was just an attempt to get a chuckle and it worked.

Here is how the joke went:

"There's an old Iriahs saying ... There's all kinds of old Irish sayings. At least my Grandfather Finnegan, I think he made them up, but it says, 'may the hinges of our friendship never go rusty.' Well, with these two folks that you're about to meet, if you haven't already, there's no doubt about them staying oiled and lubricated here.

Ladies and gentlemen, now, for you who are not full Irish in this room, lubricating has a different meaning for us all."

Nice one Joe!

This is not the first time we have heard of Joe Biden telling a dirty joke. Last week, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfuss was interviewed on "Conan" and she explained that the Vice President told her a joke while they were out to lunch. Louis-Dreyfuss, who portrays a Vice President on the HBO comedy, "Veep," said that Biden was trying to be funny and ended up telling a dirty joke.

The actress said "He's so affable and charming. It was incredible. We have lunch together, and he was trying to be funny..."

According to the former "Seinfeld" actress, Biden said to her, "Hey, does your husband like to sleep with the Vice President, because I'm trying to convince Jill it's a good idea!"

"It's racy but he didn't mean it in a racy way," she explained. "He was just being funny."

Here is a video of Julia Louis-Dreyfuss on "Conan."
