Fans of the highly anticipated Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran duet are in for some good news. The "Thinking Out Loud" singer has confirmed that he and Swift will be making a duet but it's unclear when it will happen.
According to E! News, Ed Sheeran revealed at the iHeart Radio Music Awards red carpet that the highly anticipated duet with Taylor Swift would "definitely" happen. However, when asked when the track will come out, Sheeran didn't have much to say. "Certainly in our lifetime," he revealed.
The Taylor Swift Ed Sheeran duet has long been in the rumor mill. While it appears that both singers are looking forward to delivering something to fans, they have never officially confirmed it until now. The "Photograph" singer seems confident about it. Swift, on the other hand, has yet to confirm if she has plans to make a song with her friend.
So far, Taylor Swift has collaborated with a number of artists. The list includes Zayn Malik for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," Keith Urban for "Somebody Like You," and John for "Half of My Heart." It remains to be seen if the Ed Sheeran duet will take place anytime in the near future.
Just recently Ed Sheeran dished that Taylor Swift will be unveiling a new album sometime before 2017 ends. The "Shake It Off" singer has yet to officially address the release date given by Sheeran. Still, fans are excited over the revelation.
Meanwhile, Billboard reports that "Divide" is already breaking records on Spotify. On March 3, the album took in 56,727,861 streams on the service. "Shape of You" has helped a lot in building the numbers. Some fans suggest that this could build the hype for the much-awaited collaboration with Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are multi-award winning artists. Swift took the world by fire when she won the Best Album of the Year award in 2009. Sheeran, on the other hand, took home the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 2016.
