The short promo showed is expected to portray a longer time jump that will be in line with its flagship series, "The Vampire Diaries" with a returning character. However, many speculated if a Mikaelson family member will meet its death. Will someone die this season?

As previously stated, "The Originals" Season 4 may expect the possibility that the Mikaelson family will witness the death of a member in the upcoming season. Said speculation started when one of the former lead actresses, Claire Holt, has successfully landed a role in the ABC drama, "Doomsday," Blasting News reported.
Claire Holt plays the lead role of Rebekah Mikaelson in "The Originals." Her recent casting in new TV series may imply she might leave the series in Season 4. Showrunners has notably decreased Rebekah's appearances in the series. In fact, she only appeared in three episodes of the third season.
Upon the release of the "The Originals" Season 4 promo, it was revealed that teaser trailer will show a longer time jump in order to keep the spinoff series in line with "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 timeline, according to Buddy TV. Meanwhile, the "The Originals" Season 4 will feature a returning character, Camille. It can be seen that Camille appears before Klaus, as he cries out in pain inside his cell.
On the other hand, there is a possibility that maybe Klaus was simply hallucinating the presence of Camille. Further, an anticipated Hayley and Elijah reunion will happen. In the promo, Hayley was able to find Elijah sleeping in his coffin.
