It is always a practice for Sony to release many versions of its PlayStation console. The first version would come in the first year or in the beginning of the lifeline, and the last one is when the console is nearing its end. But this is not the case for PlayStation 5 as ii will be released with two versions.
According to PS5, the first version will be bare bones of the PlayStation 5. It will contain basic features essential for playing games and connect to the cloud. It will be called "The Core Experience" and will come with 50 Terabytes of standard hard disk storage. This model will not have an optical drive but it will have all the needed equipment needed to run games on 4K display. A feature similar to PlayStation Now and an online store is expected to be in this model. It is expected that The Core Experience will have $500 or less in its price tag.
The second version of PlayStation 5 is the complete or "The Pro Experience" and is aimed to satisfy the gaming needs of hardcore gamers. This model will have an optical drive for those who hates to download over and over again. 4K Blu-rays CDs can also be played with the optical drive. And instead of an ordinary hard drive, it will have Solid State Drives with higher storage capacity.
Sure PlayStation VR is still a thing for Virtual Reality, but with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vibe reigning on the market right now, more should do on the part of Sony. According to TechRadar, the future PlayStation VR might up its resolution for the PlayStation 5 because higher resolution means a better experience. PlayStation VR is coming back in the scene but with PlayStation VR on 2020, it is expected to be the emperor of the VR headsets once again.
