"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" may bring back Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn as a Force Ghost. A teaser for the sequel hinted their return, which coincides with previous reports about their role in the film.

A special screening of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" was revealed to selected reporters and Disney shareholders recently. One of these reporters, named Daniel Miller, took to his Twitter to reveal an important scene that hints at the return of Obi-Wan, Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn.

According to Miller, who is a reporter from the LA Times, the teaser for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" include a shot of Rey (Daisy Ridley) under pressure as small orbs of light surround her. He did not go into details to describe these orbs.

However, fans may be familiar with these orbs from "Star Wars Rebels" and "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Qui-Gon Jinn appeared as these lights in "Clone Wars" to guide Yoda during his visit to Dagobah (see video below). According to Furious Fan Boys, Yoda also used these orbs to guide Ezra through the Jedi Temple in "Star Wars: Rebels."

It is likely that "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" could focus on the legend of The Force. Bringing back Obi-Wan, Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn is an excellent way to delve into its mythology. Coincidentally, these orbs align with previous speculations that claim these three Jedi Masters will be in the sequel.

Much of the speculations in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" surround Rey's training with The Force. This scene in the movie seemingly hints at one of Rey's training with Luke Skywalker. According to reports, Obi-Wan and Yoda appear as a Force Ghost to assist Luke Skywalker train Rey about the ways of The Force. The same can be said for Qui-Gon Jinn's appearance in the film.

Likewise, Entertainment Weekly's Anthony Breznican has since hinted at Obi-Wan Kenobi's return to the franchise. According to Movieweb, he confirmed that Disney and Lucasfilm definitely want to bring the character back, be it in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" or in "Star Wars: Episode IX." However, the appearance of the orbs of light in Rey's scene hints at his return in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." Obi-Wan could be sending a message to Rey through one of the orbs, along with Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn.
