‘The Vampire Diaries’ Spin-Off Possible; Nina Dobrev Hints To Join The Team

Elena (Nina Dobrev) finally came back to life after for a long time resting in a casket. As she reunited with family and Damon, it wrapped up the whole vampire story after coming to the screen for eight seasons. Ended with an emotional epic story, fans wondered if it was just going to be over like this. They wanted expanded episodes and perhaps "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off will make it.

In an interview with Deadline, creator Julie Plec expressed that he got some ideas to extend "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off. Accordingly, he had an intention to bring this story into a new path. However, he currently stated that he was in thought for exploring a new way to make this story more interesting since it had so many layers that might result in a new whole adventure.

In the same interview, Kevin Williamson also talked about the possibility of "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off. He gave forward his idea about spinning out a story from Caroline perspective as it was always his intention to bring upward Caroline and her intricacy to the screen. The current situation in which she and Alaric provided a school for special children might become the core of this story, Hollywood Reporter reports.

Furthermore, rumor said that Nina Dobrev would join this new "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off. After making her return for the final episode, Dobrev raised up fans enthusiastic. And she seemed also enjoy her return the team, Mail Online reported. Thus, having her joining this spin-off will boost up fans expectation as she has more story to tell.

However, though having in mind some consideration for "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off, Plec and Williamson made clear that it was mere their wishful thought. William adds that he wanted to take a rest for a little while and then thinks of a whole new fresh idea for his upcoming work. However, fans should not be discouraged because they indeed had some vision for a spin-off.
