The Canadian singer who rocketed to fame with her 2012 hit "Call Me Maybe" decided to dye her brunette locks red and everyone loves it. Carly Rae Jepsen, who is currently promoting her latest single "Tonight I'm Getting Over You," teased her Twitter followers on Monday with a "drastic" tweet about being at the salon. The 27-year-old singer then revealed her new look on Instagram, stating: "I've always wanted to go red!"
Here are her Twitter posts that led to the reveal of Carly Rae Jepsen's new hair color:

As you can see, in the photo she is striking an innocent pose in a nice white and pink dress that fans loved. Jepsen has her right leg lifted up as well, which allows us to see some leg as well as her tan lace-up boots. As usual she is sporting some subtle makeup choices that highlight her big, bright eyes and pouty lips.
Seriously, this picture is pretty amazing.
And just for fun, here is another look at Jepsen's dyed hair in a newer Instagram photo of her and her friends trying on sunglasses:
Jepsen, who has often been thought of as much younger than her age, seems to really be making more "adult" decisions when it comes to her appearance. Sure she still has that "cute" look, but her wardrobe and even her dying her hair has come off as slightly more edgy.
In January of 2013, Carly spoke with Cosmopolitan magazine about her youthful looks:
"If people think I look younger, then that's great; I'm stoked. But I turned 27 in November, and when I look in the mirror, I see all the years attached to that face, and I'm content with me."
