A handful of new Marvel movies is lining up this 2017 all the way to 2020. The complete list of upcoming Marvel movies includes "Spider-Man: Homecoming" to "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" all the way to "Avengers: Infinity War and Beyond."
Marvel Studios has been infinitely giving their fans an exciting experience through its superhero blockbuster movies. For Marvel fans, 2017 is another year for big hit movies featuring highly-anticipated sequels and on to Marvel movies' Phase 3 list.
First of few Marvel movies to hit the theaters in May 2017 is the return of "The Guardians of the Galaxy" for its sequel, bringing back Peter Quill (Chriss Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) on to their next big adventure. Director, James Gunn will also be coming back directing the sequel along with its trademark taking it to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Meanwhile, Marvel movies, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is bringing Peter Parker back home but on a different persona. The new Peter Parker made his cinematic Universe debut in "Captain America: Civil War."
The new "Spide-Man: Homecoming" will star Tom Holland on his first ever solo outing film. Although there is not much of the plot was shared yet, Director John Watts alongside screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein is aiming for a coming-of-age tale a la "John Hughes." Feature villains for this film include Michael Keaton as "The Vulture." Robert Downey Jr. is also in the movie as well. This Marvel movie opens in theaters on July 2017.
Another new original Marvel movie added on Phase 3 list is "Inhumans." The film was scheduled to release on July 2019, however, Marvel Studio has changed their plans and "Inhumans" is going to be part of the TV series soon, shared Den of Geek.
Coming up in theaters in November 2017 is another Marvel movie "Thor: Ragnarok" with the God of Thunder and the green monster teaming up for an adventure. Not much of its plot has been shared yet, but Director, Taika Waititi said that the move is expected to have some levity to go alongside all the large-scale action.
Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo are obviously coming back for this film with some returning cast such as Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Joining them include Cate Blanchett as Hela, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Karl Urban, Anthony Hopkins and Tessa Thompson.
A Marvel Studio film kicks off on Feb. 2018, starring Chadwick Boseman as the Titular African hero, this Marvel movie opens in theaters as the "Black Panther." This movie will tell the story of T'Challa, prince of Wakanda, who must rise to take the mantle of the Black Panther after his father was murdered, reported CinemaBlend.
Meanwhile, in the second quarter of 2018, another Marvel movie sequel will hit the big screen. This time, the film will be split into two parts. The first part of the "Avengers: Infinity War" will hit the big screen in the summer of 2018 while the second part will be in the summer of the following year. The film is directed and written by the same team who created "Captain America: Civil War."
Kicking off on July 2018 is the sequel to an original Marvel movie, "Ant-Man." The Marvel studio didn't include the sequel on their first line-up, however, the company again realigned their lineup of films and inserted "Ant-Man And The Wasp" in the Phase 3 list of movies. The sequel film will still have the same director, Peyton Reed.
Lastly is the anticipated "Captain Marvel" film that was originally scheduled in the last quarter of 2018, however, Marvel Studios, now scheduled the release of this film by 2019. The story is about a human woman receives power when she encountered the alien Kree Empire. This Marvel movie will star Carol Danvers as the human woman who has a power in the cosmic realm.
