It will be more than allergies that Griffin (Matt Cohen) might be afflicted with. “General Hospital” spoilers for the week of March 20 reveal that he is suffering from a very high temperature which would rule out sniffles. It will be revealed that Liv (Tonja Walker) has infected him with an unknown potion.
Liv gave him the potion to drink to transform Griffin into Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) according to TV Source Magazine. The high fever could also have been caused by the unsterilized scalpel she used to cut him up. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) insisted that Griffin go home to recuperate. “General Hospital” spoilers indicate that later in the week, Griffin will confront Liv at the PCPD. He may want to find out what she gave him that’s been causing the symptoms.
It could be remembered that Liz had a lot of herbs and other things used to brew potions. Griffin might be able to realize that it is Liz who caused whatever it is that ails him. He would certainly want to know if he has been infected with something deadly. On last Friday’s episode, Liv told Anna that she knew a secret about the latter according to TV Over Mind. It could have something to do with Anna’s pregnancy with Duke's baby that supposedly ended in a miscarriage tease “General Hospital” spoilers.
Speculations have come up that Griffin is Anna’s son. The twisted theory is that her embryo was taken and then implanted in another woman. According to “General Hospital” spoilers, it might have been Liv herself who took the embryo and since lost track of the baby. This is possible since she was later shot by Julian (William deVey) and almost died. She spent years recovering in China. She told Anna it was a miracle that she is alive.
This could also be the reason why Liv was surprised when she met Griffin. “General Hospital” spoilers reveal that Griffin’s illness may need some blood work or other test to be done to him that might show his biological link to Anna. This will make Liv’s plan to poison him as ironic as it will be the thing that will bring Anna and Griffin together.
