If "American Idol" consistently garner good reviews as a singing competition show in American television, things may differ for "The X Factor" 2017 as it was reported that things are not looking good for the reality-competition sing-off show.
Compared to recent season, "The X Factor" 2017 recent casting call in Kent seemed empty. The usual crowds of singing hopefuls were nowhere to be seen. In fact, when "The X Factor" 2017 conducted its preliminary stages of auditions held at Dreamland of Margarate, it was reported that only a "handful" of people turned up to sing, Kent Live reported.
Moreover, a proof was shown as evidenced by a photo uploaded by the source. The photograph shows that no queues can be seen and the audition room is deserted. Six people were in line with distant spaces between contestants. Furthermore, Dreamland's creative operations manager even admitted that the expected turnout for "The X Factor" 2017 was not great.
"It would be amazing if there was queues out of the door for today," he said, but stayed positive. "But I think there should be quite a nice amount of people for these auditions." If excitement continues to be absent for "The X Factor" 2017, then there is a great chance that the show will be canceled. It was recently confirmed that the show might last until at least 2019 alongside "Britain's Got Talent," according to ITV's director of television Kevin Lygo, Unreality TV reported.
"[They] are both big, brilliant, wonderful shows and I am delighted that they will continue to take up their place as an important part of our schedule for the next three years," he said of the talent search. Throught "The X Factor," various recording artists were introduced such as One Direction and Little Mix.
