The world's fourth-largest smartphone maker, Xiaomi is expected to launch its flagship killer, Xiaomi Mi6, later this year. A leaked photo came out and is likely pointing to Xiaomi's new flagship.
Recent rumors about the leaked screenshot uploaded to a Chinese social networking website, Weibo, reveals that it is the Xiaomi Mi6 smartphone that's been rounding up online. Now, the previous report also claimed that the release of the device was delayed due to some issues between Samsung and Qualcomm.
The leaked screenshot, however, renders a black glossy color both front and back with curved edges that resemble Mi Note 2. Additionally, it also revealed that the handset might feature a 2.7 GHz octa-core CPU, 6 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage and a dual-camera set up at the back part of the Xiaomi Mi6.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi6 is expected to release three variants which are the standard model, regular and the premium. It is said that the premium variant will feature a dual curved display and will be released sporting a Snapdragon 835.
Furthermore, the flagship Xiaomi Mi6 might possibly launch on April 16 with another variant sporting with a Snapdragon 821 SoC. Apparently, Samsung had an agreement with Qualcomm that other smartphones with the latest Snapdragon processors, can only be launched after the Galaxy S8 has been launched. Samsung will launch the Galaxy S8 on March 29, hence there will be a scarcity of Snapdragon 835 throughout April which leaves the most premium variant of Xiaomi Mi6 to wait until May of this year, Gadgets 360, reported.
On the contrary, both the standard and regular models of Xiaomi Mi6 are packed with a Snapdragon 821 and a Mediatek Helio X30 CPU. Both variants might sport a 4GB of RAM and have a dual rear-facing camera set up, Techno Buffalo shared.
Other details on Xiaomi Mi6's specification includes a Quad HD 2K OLED display with dual curved edges and the handset will house a 4000mAh battery. In addition, it will be labeled around CNY 2499 or around $360.
