A leaked image of a phone with a wallpaper came out recently and is believed to be the teaser of One Plus' "flagship killer of 2017." The teaser captions the signature line of One Plus, "Never Settle," however, this sets different speculations about the One Plus 5 launching very soon.
Based on the wallpaper, a new concept video of the upcoming smartphone coming out with a matte Black variant. Rumors mills on One Plus 5 arriving with the same color of its predecessor, after the One Plus 3T Colette's successful launch according to Auto World News.
There are few more months before the One Plus 5 hits the shelves of the tech market, rumors that it will have a new design and believed to be arriving with an IP68 rating that makes it water and dust proof. In addition, the company might choose an all-glass design that it will give it a more premium look and a ceramic build just like the Mi Mix.
Further details about the One Plus 5 specification includes a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge AMOLED display with an FHD 1080 resolution. It will also be packed with 6GB of RAM and a 64GB internal storage. However, 128GB internal storage variation might be launched too, which is expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card.
The One Plus 5 is also expected to arrive with a 12 Megapixel front camera with a wide-angle lens and a 23 Megapixel main snapper on its rear camera. In addition, a USB-Type C connector will come along with One Plus 5 which is not included in the One Plus 3T.
Along with Android 7.1 Nougat, the One Plus 5 will also be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. As previously reported that Samsung has an agreement with Qualcomm that other smartphones with the latest Snapdragon processors, has to wait for the Galaxy S8 to launch before launching their respective latest smartphones, reported Mstarnews.
It seems that One Plus will have to wait a little longer to release its new flagship as Samsung is still set to launch its Galaxy S8 on March 29. Furthermore, the One Plus 5 is set to release in May or June this year.
