Andrew Lloyd Webber has recently revealed that he is desperate to rope in Liam Payne of "One Direction" to perform at the production of "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" at West End. Will Liam Payne agree to Webber's proposal?
Even though it is unclear as to whether Andrew Webber has gotten in touch with Liam Payne about starring in the West End musical, the former has made it amply clear that the "One Direction" singer is definitely being considered to star in the "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat." According to The Sun, Webber really wants Payne, the soon-to-be father of his girlfriend Cheryl's child, to take up the lead role in the musical.
"Andrew has told those involved that his dream signing is Liam," an insider source stated of "One Direction" Liam Payne's chances of starring in the West End play. "He thinks he can bring so much to the role of Joseph, he's a natural performer."
Apparently, other pop stars are also being considered for the role but the top choice for Andrew Webber remains Liam Payne of "One Direction." If he agrees to take up the role, the hunt for the lead in "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" will end then and there.
However, Liam Payne has not acknowledged the proposal or if he would even consider doing it in addition to touring for "One Direction." Payne has had experience of starring in musicals since his childhood, reveals Unreality TV.
Long before he became a singer in one of the most popular boy bands, "One Direction," Liam Payne worked under Jodie Richards in the theater group, Pink Productions. Richards has since gone on to praise Payne's inherent talent for performing on stage. Payne has also mentioned his love for theater in the past, which makes fans think that he might accept the offer of starring in the West End musical.
