NBC has ordered five new shows (three comedies and two dramas) in advance of the network's upfront presentation on Monday in New York, and details on each of the shows have already surfaced online at TV.com.

The first is J.J. Abrams' drama "Believe," which reportedly revolves around a young girl with a supernatural gift and the recently released con man who tries to help her fight off the forces of evil. Johnny Sequoyah will play the lead character, while Jake McLaughlin, Kyle MacLachlan, Delroy Lindo, Jamie Chung and Sienna Guillroy will also star.

Rand Ravich, who created NBC's "Life," brings his new show "Crisis" to the network. This drama stars Gillian Anderson, best known as Scully from "The X-Files," and focuses on a mysterious man who uses an international conspiracy to cripple Washington, D.C. Dermot Mulroney, Max Martini and Rachael Taylor will also star.

"About A Boy" will be a single-camera comedy and an adaptation of the Nick Hornby novel and the 2002 film of the same name starring Hugh Grant. David Walton will portray a bachelor who develops a friendship with the son of his hot neighbor, a single mom played by Minnie Driver. Jason Katims of "Friday Night Lights" and "Parenthood" fame will write and produce, while Benjamin Stockham will portray the boy (unless NBC renews his other show "1600 Penn"). Leslie Bibb and Al Madrigal will also star.

"Sean Saves the World" will star Sean Hayes, who starred for years on the NBC sitcom "Will & Grace." The show will follow his character's issues with his 14-year-old daughter and crazy boss. The multi-camera comedy will also star Thomas Lenon, Echo Kellum and Linda Lavin.

Finally, the single-camera sitcom "Family Guide" involves a boy devoted to his blind father and who develops a closer relationship with his mother after his parents get divorced. Parker Posey, JK Simmons and Eli Baker will star.
