'Poldark' Season 3: New Casts Added, Ross Gets New Love Interest

"Poldark" Season 3 will introduce new characters and will give Ross a new love interest. The series has already wrapped up its filming and is now in post-production. Actress Esme Coy has been reportedly tapped to play a character named Rowella Chynoweth who is rumored to be the Ross' new love interest. Coy's character will reportedly have a sizeable role as a big baddie based on its novel counterpart in "The Angry Tide."

"Poldark" Season 3 will reportedly bring the romance and drama to another level with a possible love triangle between Demelza, Ross and a woman who approaches the couple with flowers in her hand,  Hall of Fame Magazine reported. 

In the novel series, Rowella and Ross had an affair and Rowella manipulated Ross into thinking that she is pregnant and is carrying his child. In "Poldark" Season 2, Ross also had an affair with Elizabeth and based on the leaked images for "Poldark" Season 3, this incident had already been dissolved with Demelza seen in pictures wandering in the square in an orange dress with a wide smile on her face.

"Poldark" Season 3 will reportedly have about 9 episodes. According to reports, the series avoided a clash with the critically acclaimed series "Victoria" to avoid split-viewership, Digital Spy reported. Showrunner and executive Debbie Horsfeld said in an interview that they will not be adapting as many books. "We're doing one and a half books this time, because the books are much fatter and we didn't want to skimp on the storytelling," she said.

The first four books of the "Poldark" series had been covered in the first two seasons of the series. The saga will presumably adapt the 1973 novel "The Black Moon" and 1976 novel "The Four Swans" by Winston Graham. "Poldark" Season 3 will be back sometime in June.
