For the last couple of years, Apple devices sales have been lagging. But the company might soon be able to remedy that, as rumors crop of a 10.5-inch iPad Pro going into limited production.
Last week, Apple announced a line-up of updated products. It included a beefed-up iPad plus a red-colored iPhone. However, the long-rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro was nowhere to be found. This brought about the speculation that the company will no longer produce a device of that dimension.
But an analyst spoke to Forbes and said that 10.5-inch iPad Pro would still be a go. Though there is no concrete evidence with regard to its future existence, Rhoda Alexander expects that this particular iOS product will probably launch in spring. She also added that there are indications the product is already in production.
The analyst also added that production of the 10.5-inch iPad Pro may be limited at first. Still, Apple may include more countries in the list where the product would be distributed as time goes by. After all, the company is known for its quick ramp ups in their production line.
Meanwhile, MacRumors wrote that an inside source said that an April launch for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro is still a possibility. But the Apple-dedicated site also said that other analysts point to a later launch date. In that regard, October seems to be their predicted timeline. If that is the case, then it would a good move for the company as they would avoid the clash with the rumored new iPhone. This one is supposed to feature an OLED display and is likely to be unveiled in September.
A bunch of analysts seems to have conflicting views, but a well-known pundit is pointing at a 2017 release for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro. And this one seems to have generally accurate information. And if that is the case, then iOS fans have a lot of products to feast on this year.
