Russell Brand is Still in Awe of Katy Perry

Russell Brand's marriage with Katy Perry might be one of Hollywood's shortest wedding, but the British comedian still seems to have a special place for the pop queen. While talking in W Channel's John Bishop: In Conversation With, the 41-year-old expressed that he still feels very warm towards his ex-wife Katy.

In the interview, Russell Brand said that he and Katy were "very very occupied" with their respective works and couldn't safeguard their relationship from external influences. He also reasoned the "the undulated nature of fame" as the key reason for the failure. The couple separated on 2012 just after 14 months of marriage.

Russell Brand further added, "There's the declaration that we are together, in front of people. There was a ceremony, people are invited - that is the point of a wedding ceremony - but in the end, there is a kind of intimacy where you acknowledge it's just the two of us." He also said that he still feel very warm towards Katy Perry and he feels good whenever he sees her.

However, NY Daily recalled Katy Perry's version of the story. After the breakup, she said in an interview that Russell Brand just sent a text stating that he is divorcing her and started mocking her on stages. She also added that she was in bed for two weeks before coming out of the depression.

E! Online wrote on how Katy Perry was once madly in love with Russell Brand. She even stated him as her "magical man." But soon after their split, the "Army of One" actor attacked her claiming she was "vapid, vacuous and plastic."

Despite all the claims, Russell Brand has now admitted that his fond feeling for Katy Perry hasn't faded completely, though both have moved on a long way from the relationship. Looks like he truly has feelings for the pop star, even today!
