After dropping hints about a new album and a Big Tymers reunion earlier this week, Lil Wayne officially confirmed the rumors in an interview with MTV's RapFix. He says that he and Birdman have enough songs in the can to release Like Father, Like Son 2
"We haven't started working on that yet, but we have so many songs together, so all it takes is a little sharpening, and we have an album," Wayne said when asked if a follow up to the 2006 album was coming. "That's been the formula forever, though. It's never been the [right] time, but in reality, we record every day, and it's for whatever it's for."
Lil Wayne agreed that a new Big Tymers project was in the "definitely coming down the pipeline."
When asked about the projects earlier this week Wayne said the following:
"Possibility of [Like Father, Like Son 2], possibility of a Big Tymers reunion adding Drake..there's all kinds of possibilities."
Weezy admitted that if there's any problems in his plans, it's finding the time to collaborate with the former Degrassi star.
"That kid is so busy," says Wayne, who is known as one of the most prolific rappers in the history of the genre.
