Following the chilling premiere of "Prison Break" Season 5, fans are now wondering what's next for the escapees, especially Michael. Show creator Paul Scheuring recently explained what fans should expect of the new installment. Unfortunately, he also confirmed that this would be the end.
In his recent interview with Collider, Scheuring explained that "Prison Break" Season 5 would be his last. However, he is not closing doors on the possibility that someone else will step up to the plate. It appears that Scheuring is fine with someone else picking up the story and creating another season from where it will end.
When asked if he can still produce more stories from "Prison Break" Season 5, Paul Scheuring said he would "bet against it." Unfortunately, Scheuring can no longer tell any more stories about the current set of characters in the highly anticipated reboot.
Scheuring believes that if ever "Prison Break" Season 5 gets a follow-up installment, it should be "worthwhile." He went on to explain that bringing in another set of tales should not be done just for the sake of having a sequel. Instead, it should be a worthy experience for the viewers.
Meanwhile, the Sun notes that the story of "Prison Break" Season 5 will bring fans to the Middle East. This time, Michael (Wentworth Miller) is locked up in a Yemeni prison and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) will soon discover his brother's whereabouts. He will then seek the assistance of his escapee friends from Fox River State Penitentiary so they can break Michael out.
Some fans speculate that Lincoln may pass away in the process of breaking Michael out. The writers of "Prison Break" Season 5 have previously teased that Episode 8 will make fans "weep." The supposed death of Lincoln has yet to be officially confirmed.
"Prison Break" Season 5 airs every Tuesday on FOX. Stay tuned for more news and updates on the revival. Stream episodes here.
