According to The Mail, the official due date of the future heir to the throne of England is July 13, 2013. In an ironic turn of events, this means that Kate Middleton will be giving birth right in the middle of Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation Festival Celebration! If in fact the royal baby is born on this date, he or she will share an astrological sign with the late Princess Diana, who was an avid astrology follower. It would appear that the Queen will have a lot to celebrate this July!
To be clear, pretty much everything about the Duchess' pregnancy has been secretive and guarded so this "official" due date might not be that "official" after all. Over the weekend, a Palace spokesman said, "We have only said that the Duchess is due in July. Anything further would be speculation." For the sake of argument, though, let us assume that this news is indeed correct.
The 2013 Coronation Festival is a four-day event, celebrating the 60 years since Queen Elizabeth II was crowned. Expected to rival last year's Jubilee Revelries, this festival is set to run from July 11 to the 14th. So Prince William and Kate are sure to miss out on the celebration.
Opera singer Laura Wright, who will perform in the gardens of Buckingham Palace during the festival, joked: "I had better not sing too many high notes . . . What if my singing made her go into labor?"
The royal baby of which gender he or she will be we have no idea, will most likely be delivered in the same place William was born at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. Royal gynecologists Alan Farthing and Marcus Setchell will supervise the birth in the private Lindo Wing of the esteemed hospital.
If the royal baby turns out to be a girl, new changes to the rules of succession will allow the Princess to be third in line to the throne regardless of whether or not she has a younger brother. No matter what the sex of the child, he or she will share a birthday with actor Harrison Ford and legendary artist Frida Kahlo if born on July 13.
