"American Crime" Season 3 stays true to its claim that it would be the darkest season of the series yet. Even as it prepares to draw curtains, with just two more episodes to air, one of the most important characters breathed her last on episode 6.
Shae Reese (Ana Mulvoy Ten) discovered the bitter truth that her Live "shows" for her online clients do not make her nearly enough money to support herself, let alone take care of the baby growing inside of her, Entertainment Weekly reports. She gets into a fight with Tracy (Gideon Aldon), a colleague who makes more money doing the same work Shae does. In the heat of the moment, Tracy stabbed Shae with a knife at the back of her neck, ending both her life and the life of her unborn child on "American Crime" Season 3.
With this, ended speculations about what Shae might do with her baby after it is born. During "American Crime" Season 3, some suggested the probability of Kimara (Regina King) offering to adopt her child since she has the do-good nature in her.
However, Kimara's desire to help as many people as she can has landed her in some of her own problems. After discovering that Abby (Sandra Oh) had incorrectly calculated the number of members in the shelter, Kimara is forced to reevaluate the elevated cost of feeding more mouths that she initially expected, Vulture reports. On "American Crime" Season 3, it is still to be seen if she is compelled to evict members from her shelter.
The toxic relationship between Clair (Lili Taylor) and Nicholas (Timothy Hutton) grow worse as the latter makes fun of his wife in front of their neighbors and friends. He further mocks her for being an incompetent mother on "American Crime" Season 3 episode 6, who heavily relies on the nanny to take care of child care. This infuriates Clair who takes out her frustration upon Gabrielle(Mickaëlle X. Bizet).
Later, on "American Crime" Season 3 episode 6, the viewers discover that Clair had to take the help of a sperm donor to have children because Nicholas could not impregnate his wife. The ultimate attack on Nicholas' manhood comes when Clair says, "The one thing a man should be able to do ... and you couldn't do it."
