Jill Duggar-Dillard and husband, Derick Dillard are making headlines again for their parenting method. The couple is currently facing an intense backlash from critics who think they are raising their child the wrong way.
In a recent interview with TLC, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's daughter, Jill admitted that they are not perfect parents. The viewers agree. However, things went awry when Derick said their son, Israel is manipulative, The Hollywood Gossip reported.
"We know that human nature is still there because he's very manipulative," said Derick of their son, Israel, 2. "He'll say, 'I love you, Papi,' like if he's really trying to get something to butter you up right before he asks for something."
Fans were quick to react on Derick's statement to son, Israel. The critics believe that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard is focusing more on training their son rather than nurturing him that's why he becomes manipulative to get the things he wants.
"That's very medieval," one fan said, adding that "the Dillards seem to be more about training Izzy and less about delighting in him."
Another fan complained about the Duggars treating kids as little adults. Michelle Duggar for instance reportedly practices the blanket training where the baby or child is placed in a blanket on the floor before hitting him or her. This is to train him to be obedient.
Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard seem to practice this training method too. The couple shared photos of Israel crying while being wrapped in the blanket.
"What is going on in their heads to think posting two photos of a bound up toddler screaming his head off is appropriate?" another critic commented. You can find more comments here.
Why do you think is baby Israel becoming manipulative? Are Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's parenting style the cause of his attitude? What's your take on Jill and Derick's parenting method? Drop a comment below.
