Microsoft has presented a new budget laptop in the market. The company just introduced Surface Laptop, their answer to Chromebooks.
On Monday, Microsoft presented its new Surface Laptop to the world. The product is a hybrid of the Surface Pro tablet and SurfaceBook laptop without the detaching capabilities, WIRED reported.
Microsoft Surface Laptop features a 13.5 inch display, 1080p screen, a keyboard covered fabric similar to Surface Pro and a set of ports. This includes a regular USB and mini DisplayPort.
This machine is great for students who are still using old laptops. Surface Laptop is equipped with Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage. If you are a fan of Windows, this laptop works with all of its peripherals like Surface Pen, Surface Dial and more.
Surface Laptop only weighs 2.76 pound, a great machine for those who are on the go. Through this laptop, Microsoft delivers a slimmer, lighter but no lesser machine. In fact, this is so lightweight, similar to Apple's MacBook.
"This is the thinnest LCD touch model ever created and put into a laptop," Panos Panay said of Surface Laptop per The Verge. "The performance on this device is absolutely amazing."
To make Surface Laptop even better it takes on the Chromebook Pixel. This is available in rad colors like cobalt blue, platinum, burgundy and graphite gold.
The Surface Laptop is faster than i7 MacBook Pro and has longer battery life than Apple's MacBook Air. It is equipped with integrated vapor chambers into the aluminum finish on the rear end of the device to keep it cool.
Meanwhile, there is a huge change when it comes to its speakers. Surface Laptop has no speaker grilles or holes. Its speakers are integrated underneath the keyboard.
Surface Laptop is priced at $999. It will start shipping on June 15.
