Katy Perry's New Album To Contain Tracks For Taylor Swift? Singer Reveals Album Inspiration

Katy Perry skirted around the question if her new album would include songs counteracting Taylor Swift's Bad Blood. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she verified the speculation regarding her new upcoming album. 

It is rumored that Taylor Swift's the 1989 Billboard Hot 100 No.1 hit single, Bad Blood was aimed at her rival Katy Perry. It originated after Swift has told Rolling Stone last 2014 that her blockbuster single was about her fellow musician who has betrayed her by sabotaging her tour. Many people claimed that the former country singer was referring to Perry who allegedly hired some of Taylor's backup dancers for her Prismatic World Tour. 

Now, with Perry about to release her new untitled work, fans are very sure that the "Chained to the Rhythm" singer would be dissing Swift with her new record. Though, she confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that her upcoming fifth studio album wouldn't be pertaining to anyone. She also said that there's not even a single thing about her personality. 

"I think [my new album is] a very empowered record," Perry said. "There is no one thing that's calling out any one person...This record is not about anyone else! This record is about me being seen and heard so that I can see and hear everyone else! It's not even about me!" 

Katy Perry also unveiled that her album will contain 15 tracks which have been selected from her 40 record list, as reported by The Independent. This will include the No. 4 on the Hot 100, "Chained to the Rhythm" and recently released a controversial single with collaboration to allegedly misogynistic group, Migos, "Bon Appetit". 

The album also includes a single dedicated to Hillary Clinton "Bigger Than Me" and a fun dance club track entitled "Swish Swish". The album will show the introspective side of Katheryn Hudson (Katy Perry) covering a 20s to 30s transition.
