Another singer will be joining "The Voice" Season 14. According to reports, Kelly Clarkson will be part of the next season of the reality singing competition.
On May 11, Blake Shelton welcomes Kelly Clarkson on his Facebook page using a live video. The "Because Of You" singer will be joining "The Voice" Season 14 together with the longtime mentor Adam Levine. The fourth coach will be announced at a later date.
E! News has confirmed that the original American Idol winner herself Kelly Clarkson has signed on for a spin in those iconic red chairs for season 14. The move is especially surprising considering Clarkson's name has been in the mix as a rumored judge for ABC's upcoming revival of "American Idol."
Kelly Clarkson and "American Idol" have been in negotiations, but it didn't work. A source on the show's side revealed that the network balked on the singer's salary demands, TMZ reported.
The "Since You've Been Gone" singer said that she is excited to join "The Voice" at NBC. "We've gone back and forth about a role as a coach for years, but the timing hasn't been right until now," said Kelly Clarkson.
Kelly Clarkson admitted that she loves to be part of "The Voice" as an adviser or performer. She has established an impressive relationship with the network during its Christmas special and she can't wait to turn her red chair and see the faces of the promising artists. Clarkson guarantee to give her support to the talented singers and to help them break into the industry. She even threatened Blake Shelton that her team will win.
