The two-episode "Supernatural" Season 12 finale will air on May 18 which also happens to be the date that Lucifer’s baby is supposed to be born. The CW released individual synopses for the episodes that reveal the Winchester brothers facing two different enemies in the final two hours of the season.
The first hour of the “Supernatural” Season 12 finale is titled “Who We Are.” Here, the American Hunters’ fight against the British Men of Letters will come to a head reports Cartermatt. The Winchester brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackes), will only have each other to rely on when they get caught in a dangerous situation.
EP Andrew Dabb revealed in an interview that their battle with the British Men of Letters will have a major effect on the relationship between the Winchester brothers. It will also have an effect on their mom Mary (Samantha Smith) since she was the one who brought them into the fight in “Supernatural” Season 12 according to TVLine.
The three of them will realize in the “Supernatural” Season 12 penultimate episode the mistake they’ve made and they soon take action for these. From all indications, it looks like the end for the British Hunters.
After the epic fight, comes the second part of the “Supernatural” Season 12 finale titled “All Along the Watchtower.” It will focus on the Winchesters’ battle against Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino). To help them battle Lucifer for the control of his unborn baby is their longtime friend and ally Castiel (Misha Collins).
If the past eleven season finales are any indication, viewers can expect that the “Supernatural” Season 12 finale will resolve the stories of the current season. At the same time, it will tease what’s in store for the next season. The last season’s cliffhanger teased the return of Mary Winchester and the introduction of the British Men of Letters.
