The renewal announcement for “NCIS: Los Angeles” was long been made before Sunday’s season 8 finale. Another big news that awaited fans was on the episode itself when Kensi (Daniela Ruah) asked Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) to marry her. Will the fans finally get to witness their wedding next season?
Also in the big “NCIS: Los Angeles" finale, Sam (LL Cool J) was on a singular mission and that was to avenge his wife’s death. He tracked down the person responsible for it, terrorist Tahir Khaled (Anslem Richardson). Much to his NCIS teammates’ dismay, Sam wanted to complete the revenge mission by himself.
Sam’s heart was further broken when Tahir sent someone to hijack the coroner van transporting Michelle’s body in the same “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode. The terrorist then threatened to send her back to Sam in pieces unless Sam agrees to meet him face-to-face. Fortunately, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and the rest of the team were able to convince Sam that he needed them if he wanted to take down Tahir reports TV Guide. In the end, Tahir was the one presumably blown to pieces when Sam removed the pin out of his suicide vest.
It was what Sam experienced in the “NCIS: Los Angeles” season finale that made Kensi seized the moment and proposed to Deeks. She just can’t imagine suffering a great loss just like Sam’s. It was a novel way of a wedding proposal that fans surely didn’t see coming reports Cartermatt.
Although Deeks was not comfortable being at the receiving end of the proposal, Kensi was able to convince him that it is 2017 and times have already changed. Also, what they had just witnessed has reinforced just how short life can be. Deeks agreed and thus, one of the most anticipated moments of “NCIS: Los Angeles” happened.
This early, there are already “NCIS: Los Angeles” spoilers for the new season that have come out. Among them is that a lavish Kensi-Deeks wedding will be happening. Sam will be able to recover from his wife’s death with Callen, among others, helping him. This may mean the return of the Sam and Callen bromance. Finally, flashback scenes featuring Miguel Ferrer’s Granger will reportedly be featured to keep the memories of the late beloved actor alive.
