‘Hotel Transylvania: The Series’ Promo, Release Date: What We Know So Far

Disney Channel has released a sneak peek at "Hotel Transylvania: The Series" on social media. The network also announced a release date for the animated show, which is based on the "Hotel Transylvania" animated films.

Disney Channel on its official Facebook page announced that "Hotel Transylvania: The Series" premieres on June 25 at 8: 00 p.m. Along with the revelation of the release date, the network included a promo for "Hotel Transylvania: The Series." The sneak peek shows the return of the original characters from the first film.

Clearly missing from the promo is Mavis' human husband and their baby. This makes sense, given that "Hotel Transylvania: The Series" focuses on the teenaged Mavis. According to the show's description from Comingsoon.net, the series follows the teenaged years of Dracula's daughter and her three friends Pedro, Hank N Stein and Wendy Blob. The promo for the show features these three characters alongside Mavis.

"Hotel Transylvania: The Series" also introduces new characters including Dracula's older sister Lydia. She arrives to oversee the hotel while Dracula is away on "Official Vampire Business." Aunt Lydia becomes a hindrance in Mavis' plan to incorporate some fun around the hotel, since she wants order and tradition.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if Selena Gomez still voices Mavis in "Hotel Transylvania: The Series." The singer has not talked about her involvement in the show. Her IMDB page listed her as part of "Hotel Transylvania 3" but not on the animated series. Perhaps fans will find out when Disney releases three new shorts about Mavis and Dracula. According to M-magazine, the network will release these videos ahead of the premiere of the series.

"Hotel Transylvania: The Series" is composed of 26 episodes at 22 minutes each. Following the premiere release on June 25, new episodes will air through Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
