Little Mix, one of the contributors to the fundraising concert last June 4 for the victims of the Manchester Attack, garnered tons of negative comments online. Speculation arises with regards to their inappropriate outfit during the benefit gig at Old Trafford, UK.
The girl band, Little Mix is one of the star-studded personas to take the stage at Ariana Grande's One Love Manchester benefit concert. The group performed their hit single "Wings" capturing the hearts of over 50,000 people in the crowd. They joined Grande to perform alongside Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Robbie Williams, Justin Bieber, Pharrell, Niall Horan, Black Eyed Peas and Take That.
Little Mix revealed that their group is proud of being part of the charity gig to extend their help for the casualty to the said unfortunate event. They claimed that the single that they performed is to empower people to stand together. Despite giving an incredible performance and kindly joining the concert, the group was slammed online due to their outfits, as reported by Mirror.
Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock wore coordinating black-and-white outfits. Many claimed on Twitter that the group's clothes don't suit the special event. Compared to Grande's sweatshirt and jeans, their costumes were highly inappropriate for the said mournful occasion.
Haters said that they look like to go to a strip club than to join a memorial concert. Though fans came to their defense saying that even dressed in leotards and fishnets, the group and even other performers that attended the charity concert have joined together for a good cause, as reported by Huffpost UK.
The group is known to received such backlash through social media especially with regards to their way of clothing. Last year, they are also criticized after stripping off in the X Factor finale performance. Meanwhile, Grande being brave to grant her promise of returning back to Manchester to raise money for the victims and their families, gave her deepest gratitude to fellow musicians for being part of the event.
