Best friends have never been more meaningful like true sisters for Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa when they not only share clothes and stuff but are now having the same kidney. Selena Gomez' struggle to lupus has been almost 2 years since her confirmation to having diagnosed with the auto-immune disease and that she had canceled a tour and entered rehab to undergo chemotherapy. Now, Selena Gomez has yet to face another chapter of her treatment as she underwent a kidney transplant earlier this summer.
In a report from Billboard, Selena Gomez uploaded a photo on her Instagram account while she undergoes a kidney transplant and donor is none other than her bestie Francia Raisa. Gomez' post was both an update and also as a way of giving information of what she and Francia Raisa had undergone. The life-changing process that the two friends went through was remarkable as this has made their friendship stronger and their faith in God become deeper.
Because of her health conditions, Selena Gomez was obviously recuperating from the operation and thus made a decision to lay low on her career, as she explains over a caption on her Instagram post. Francia Raisa who is also an actress, PEOPLE reports, has been doing projects as early as 2005 and has known projects like the TV series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and film "Bring It On: All Or Nothing." Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa met on a hospital visit sponsored by Disney and ABC Family where they became fast friends ever since.
The Instagram photo shows the "Hands To Myself" hit maker holding hands with the host of "WTFrancia" on Dash Radio, both on lying on their hospital beds with tubes all over them. Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa has been calling each other "sisters" for a longtime and even though they are not biologically related from birth, they can say to each other now that they are sisters, sharing the same kidneys.
