News about Star Wars: Episode VII has been has mainly been relegated to director J.J. Abrams saying new information in interviews as he promotes Star Trek Into Darkness and maybe some casting rumors. Well, in an interview on the Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM, Abrams spoke more about his current project and his upcoming project as well. Plus, actor Warwick Davis who was in Return of the Jedi  as an Ewok and held numerous roles in The Phantom Menace, is excited about the new Star Wars movies and is even interested in a role!

The actor stated "It's great for the British film industry, great for British actors as well and I think it's 'Star Wars' coming back to its roots. It's where it started all those years ago in 1976 when the first film was shot here ... Obviously there are tax incentives at the moment for feature films filming over here," he said. "But we also have some of the best technicians in the world, very, very skilled craftspeople in all areas of production be it concept art or set design and construction. People look to Britain now as one of the premiere places to make high quality films."

When talking about possibly getting cast in the new film projects, Davis stated that he did not want to return to his Ewok roots. "I'm not in a great hurry to get back inside a furry suit as an Ewok but to play a villain would be very nice, having a lightsaber in my hand would be a great bonus," he said.

Do you think Warwick Davis will join the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII?
