One Direction held a press conference today to announce their 2014 world tour entitled Where We Are. This worldwide concert event will hit stadiums all over the world in order to allow as many One Direction fans to get to experience their live show. The press conference itself - which was hyped up all week on Twitter as "One Big Announcement" - was held at Wembley Stadium. Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik sat at a table of microphones in from of backdrop reading "Where We Are Tour 2014" with countless national flags of the different countries they plan on performing in.
Niall Horan made the official announcement, stating: "We are doing a worldwide stadium tour. We will be touring in Latin America first then UK and Ireland. We are ecstatic. We have only been a band for three years and we're already doing stadiums - including Wembley."
Liam Payne added, "We can't wait to get to Argentina and really hope the weather is warm"
Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend Harry Styles said, "It's important the fans and everyone who comes to see the show know it's going to be much bigger and new songs. A completely different tour."
This is incredibly exciting news for the band as well as fans. In a humble moment, Payne admitted to wondering how ticket sales would go. "We're looking at the pitch out in Wembley and we've got no idea how we're going to sell the tickets," he said.
And here is a short promotional video for the Where We Are tour:
