It looks like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will not be moving the newborn future heir to the thrown into their Kensington Palace apartment in London. Over the last few months, renovations on the home have been going on and it looks like they will not be finished in time for the July 13th due date. With so little time before the delivery, where are Kate and William planning on going with their newborn? If the royal couple already has a place in mind, that would allow the pregnant Duchess to enjoy the rest of her time enjoying her new pregnancy food craving!
Just like most pregnant women in the world, Kate Middleton is experiencing cravings for specific foods that really satisfy her palette. So what is the Duchess of Cambridge "chowing down" on? Reports claim that her pregnancy has giving her the taste for spicier foods, specifically vegetarian curry! Though she should be careful with her spicy food cravings since it can cause heartburn quite easily in pregnant women.
According to an Upper Buckleberry shop owner, the mother-to-be stopped into his convenience store while in her parents' village and smelled some food being cooked upstairs.
"My wife made her curry a little while ago which she enjoyed," the shop owner, Hash Shingadia, said. "I think she came in one day and my wife was cooking upstairs. She said it smelled lovely, so we gave her some to take away."
Perhaps she will keep her curry cravings even after giving birth and relocating to her new home, wherever that might be.
The Kensington Palace has seen better days since the former occupant, Queen Elizabeth II's sister Princess Margaret, died in 2002. It has been undergoing renovations and had an asbestos problem as well that is being taken care of.
Right now, Prince William and his wife spend their time at their cottage in Wales, but bringing the baby back there does not seem plausible considering its distance from the London hospital the Duchess is reportedly going to give birth in.
Odds are, the prince or princess will be brought home to the couple's smaller apartment at Kensington Palace until renovations at apartment 1a are completed. Once they are completed, Prince William and the Duchess will move into their four-story house, complete with a nursery, 20 rooms and a private garden.
