Though the two only dated for a few months before calling it quits in 2010, a recent interview with ABC's Nightline News features Demi Lovato opening up about her break up with Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. The two split right before they were suppose to tour in support of Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam Tour, so when it happened Lovato was shocked. After making the choice to break up with Lovato, Jonas dated actress Ashley Greene.

"We were in a relationship and we broke up, and at one point, I was really mad at him," Lovato explained.

"When you go through heartbreaks and things like that, you always have in mind somebody. It's like when you hear a song on the radio that reminds you of somebody, you're going to be reminded. But keeping that in mind...it's a delicate balance."

The "X-Factor" judge continued, saying, "Now, I can, fortunately, say, that him and his brother Nick, have always been there for me, and are literally family, and like brothers. We have a great friendship. And we may not be as close as we used to be, but that's OK."

Joe Jonas has also explained that he tries to be a supportive friend to Lovato after the end of their romance and it looks like he has done so. Just this week, the Jonas Brother member tweeted "So happy for you!" at Demi in regards to her new album entitled Demi, which just came out.

Lovato is making the press rounds promoting her new album and her future single "Warrior." She even got a new tattoo to commemorate her song and what it means to her. The new ink reads: "Now I'm a Warrior."

"It's a very powerful song," Lovato said of "Warrior." "It is the song that I want my fans to hear, and apply it to any situation that they can relate to."
