Praise Jeebus! It appears that Jay-Z and Raekwon are working together on a new track (at least if this studio pic is to be believed). That's right, folks Jigga (the man behind The Blueprint and The Black Album) will be recording at least one song with the Chef (the man behind Only Built 4 Cuban Linx), presumably for Jay's new album.

Be still my beating heart.

According to illseed of AllHipHop "Jay and Rae have been working on this collaboration for about 2 years and finally got it together."

When compiled with previous shots of Jay-Z with DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Drake and Timothy Timmy Timbo Timbaland (seriously, so much Timbaland, you guys), and the news from producers like Swizz Beatz, it appears that Jay-Z's latest will be quite the star-studded affair.

Like I've said previously, Jay-Z plus collaborators that aren't his wife or Kanye West tends to fall flat. But after hearing him on the remix of "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" and the excellent posse track "Clique", I'm holding out hope that new Jay can wow. Either way, Raekwon will almost certainly be Raekwon, so the song will probably be fast-tracked toward classic status.

What do you think? Are you excited for Jay-Z's new album? Does a collaboration between Raekwon and Jigga get your blood pumping? Based solely on the assumed guest stars (Ross, Khaled, Drake, Timbo, Raekwon, probably Kanye somewhere) do you think Jay's new album will be any good?
