The news coverage and especially the video footage of the Oklahoma tornado aftermath have been harrowing to say the least. Yesterday the largest tornado in history touched down and ravaged countless homes and buildings, leaving the whole nation in awe and terror. So when stories like Barbara Garcia's happen, it adds some light to an incredibly dark situation.

The local NBC affiliated news network interviewed Garcia, a resident of Moore, Oklahoma, who had survived yesterday's tornado, today. While standing pretty much on top of the wreckage of her house, Garcia answered a few questions and explained how she sat out the storm in her bathroom with her dog.

As the tornado hit her home, Barbara was thrown from her bathroom and found herself in the wreckage of her home - her dog nowhere to be found.

Surely this story is one that many people are telling today, but a miraculous thing happened while Garcia was taking part in this live interview: her dog emerged from the wreckage.

"Well I got God to answer one prayer to let me be okay, but he answered both of them," Garcia said.

Here is the interview as well as the incredible reunion between Barbara and her dog:

But not all of the footage coming out today is happy. Here is a video of Emmy Award-winning veteran reporter Lance West losing his composure while reporting from the wreckage of an elementary school:

And here is an incredible video taken by Charles Cook. He was in Newcastle, Oklahoma, where he managed to get footage of the tornado forming.

"He was worried it was going to come back at him and was searching for a way to scoot out it's way once he was able to gauge how insanely close it was to him," said Cook's son in his post on Reddit accompanying this video. "He hung in there, though. Unbelievable."
