The LAPD is investigating Chris Brown in regards to a hit and run, in relation to the feder bender he and Karrueche Tran escaped from last week.  According to TMZ, Brown  allegedly refused to give the driver he rear-ended his driver's license number.  We're told he also gave the woman incorrect insurance info.

Brown and girlfriend Karrueche Tran were riding in Los Angeles on Tuesday May 21st, when Brown rear ended another vehicle.  While this may have been a small accident for another person, Chris Brown is already on probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009.  If the LAPD's investigation finds that Breezy broke the law by leaving the scene of an accident without fully disclosing all of the information required by law, his probation could be violated. As a result Chris could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.

Whats with celebrities leaving the scene of accidents of providing shady information. TMZ reported May 23, that "Red Bentley" rapper Soulja Boy was also being investigated by the LAPD for a hit and run. A motorcyclist collided with a red Bentley in Hollywood Jan. 9, leaving the biker seriously injured, however, the driver of the Bentley who caused the crash by making a reckless turn fled the scene.

Now less than six months later, a witness has identified the car and possibly the driver as Soulja Boy. A Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles valet confirmed to the motorcyclist's friend that he knew the red car and that it belonged to Soulja Boy, who frequented the area.

Hopefully, Chris Brown was more honest with the owner of the vehicle he rear ended than he was with Rihanna and Karrueche?
