Boston Calling 2013 Fall Lineup [PHOTO & VIDEO]: First Bands Announced for September 7 & 8 Music Festival Schedule, Solange, Vampire Weekend, & More!

Vampire Weekend, Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, Local Natives, Major Lazer, the Gaslight Anthem, the Airborne Toxic Event, Wolfgang Gartner, Solange, Bat for Lashes, Flosstradamus, Deer Tick, Okkervil River, Flume, Lucius, Big Black Delta, You Won't, and Bearstronaut are the first bands to be announced for the 2013 Boston Calling Music Festival. The exciting two-day event will take place September 7 and 8 at City Hall Plaza in the capital of Massachusetts.

2013 has already seen a Boston Calling Music Festival just this past weekend, which was the first of its kind after the Boston Marathon bombings that took place earlier this year.

The latest Boston Calling, which just concluded yesterday, was hosted by Aaron Dessner of The National and featured performances from his band, the Walkmen, Dirty Projectors, and other. During the festival's second day of music, Dessner announced that there would be a second Boston Calling event later this year taking place at City Hall Plaza on September 7 and 8.

In regards to ticketing information, here is an announcement made by the festival:

"Early Bird Weekend Passes for both General Admission and VIP will go on sale Friday May 31, 2013 at 10AM EST. General Admission Early Bird Weekend Passes are $120 and VIP Early Bird Weekend Passes are $325. 

"Tickets are available via www.bostoncalling.com, www.ticketmaster.com, and with no service fee at The Sinclair and Royale box offices (52 Church Street, Cambridge MA; 279 Tremont Street Boston, MA)."
