"Kaleidoscope Dream" crooner Miguel recent embarked on a heated Twitter rant, tweeting that "black people are the most judgmental people in the world." According to the 27-year-old singer, black people are "preconditioned" to hate themselves, and that "sh#t's just sad, man." Miguel's "judgmental" tweets have since gone viral, sparking a slew of fan responses. What do Mstars readers think about the Grammy award winner's rather controversial observations?
Here's the collection of tweets Miguel posted over the Memorial Day weekend:
@MiguelUnlimited: "Im proud of my heritage but honestly, black people are the most judgmental people in the world. Sh#ts sad man."
@MiguelUnlimited: "we've been conditioned, pre-programmed to hate ourselves."
@MiguelUnlimited: "that's why I appreciate those who choose to think and act for themselves regardless of ethnicity or culture."
@MiguelUnlimited: "the problem can not be fixed until the problem is recognized. Not everyone is the same thank goodness. And obviously, I love all my fans."
@MiguelUnlimited: "Of course EVERYONE is judgemental. I just PERSONALLY believe WE are the most critical of our own."
Following the mini, one-sided rant, Miguel wrapped things up by tweeting:
@MiguelUnlimited: "coconut bread. the way."
Miguel's lesson on judgment was in response to a fan that tweeted the "Adorn" superstar had "sold [his] soul"... he initially told the Twitter follower to "take that over zealous self-righteousness elsewhere."
In Miguel's Twitter bio, the singer warns "Rebel. Loner. Awkward and Confident. Don't follow Me. I'm trouble." Still, he has over 500,000 followers and several of them had something to say about Miguel's rant... both good and bad...
Do Mstars fans have anything to say about the matter?
