Rapper Andre 3000 Mother Sharon Benjamin-Hodo Died While Asleep In Her Home On Andre's 38th Birthday

Rapper Andre 3000 mother, Sharon Benjamin-Hodo was has passed away in her Georgia home on his 38^th birthday Tuesday, according to billboard.

His mother was the founder and organizer of The Starlight Camp for underprivileged children at the New Morning Light Missionary Baptist Church in Conley, GA Of which her husband, Pastor Robert Hodo preaches during services.

Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons, tweeted his condolences to the rapper and his family saying, "Prayers for Andre 3000..."

The Atlanta community of celebrities and public figures have been sending their prayers via twitter. Atlanta rapper Big Gipp also gave his condolences out, "My Condolences And LOVE GO OUT TO 3000 ...WE ALL LOVED YOUR MOTHER MISS B..God got her NOW!!#DUNGEONFAMILY... Gipp," he tweeted May 28th.

Atlanta pastor named Jamil V. Willis also tweeted, "I just received a very disturbing phone call that Lady Sharon Benjamin Hodo passed away moments ago in her sleep.," he tweeted Tuesday. Willis added, "She is the wife of Pastor Robert Hodo... As destiny would have it She is also the mother of Andre Benjamin (Andre 3000) of OutKast."
