The former First Lady of Trinidad, Lisa Raye, is going back to her Player's Club roots. The Single Ladies actress will star alongside an allstar cast, including Lynn Whitfield, Stacey Dash, Carmen Elecktra, K.D. Aubert, and more in the summer blockbuster exotic dancer themed film Lapdance, according to The YBF.
For all the fellas and ladies who loves Lisa Raye's Diamond day's well she is back (in another form of course). Lapdance is based on a story by Datari Turner and director Greg Carter, it revolves around an aspiring actress who makes a pact with her fiance to take a job as an exotic dancer to care for her cancer stricken father. According to Carlton Jordan, who posted the trailer to his Youtube channel, "once the pact the couple made is broken, there lives are changed forever." Sounds like something we have seen before no?
While Lynn Whitfield plays "Mama Pearl" the strip club enforcer, who tapes on the girls for "her money," Lisa Raye and Carmen Elecktra are dancers who try to stay clear of her reign. Watch the Snippet below:
Lapdance will screen at this year's ABFF Film festival in Miami in June, The YBF reported.
