Patrick Stewart is a 72-year-old world-renowned actor who was even knighted by the Queen of England. Sir Stewart is widely known for his roles in the X-Men films and the popular television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. What you might not know about him is that he has never had a slice of pizza before. Luckily, his new residence in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn allowed him to break this lack of pizza predicament just this week.

Though he is 72 years old, Stewart apparently never had a slice of pizza in his life. Luckily he lives in Brooklyn now where pizza is easily obtainable.

Stewart took to Twitter to post about his first slice of pizza experience:

The actor's first slice was had at Smiling Pizza in Park Slope. Owner Steve Zito was honored he chose his restaurant.
"I didn't know it was his first slice. I would have given him another," he said. "We've only been here for 48 years.  What took him so long?"

On a more serious note, during a Q&A event at the 2013 Comicpalooza Sir Patrick Stewart was asked about his work with the fight against violence towards women. The fan asking the question initially thanked him for a previous speech he had given at an Amnesty International event and then asked him about what he is proud of outside of his acting career.

Here is the description from the YouTube page of the video:

"This was my question to Sir Patrick Stewart at Comicpalooza 2013. I wanted to thank Patrick Stewart for his speech at Amnesty International it personally help me put a name to the abuse, sexual abuse in my case, I had experienced in the past. He responded very passionately and the last thing I thought I would get at was a heartfelt hug.

"When he embraced me he told me 'You never have to go through that again, you're safe now.' I just kept thanking him."

Here is the video of Sir Stewart's passionate response to the question:
