The American Dream is real as singer/songwriter the dream adds another hot album and plaque to his wall. After penning hits for Beyoncè, the "Where Have You Been," singer just released his uber-sexy album fourth album IV Play, and received a plaque for 50 millions songs sold on BET's 106 & Park.
While appearing on BET's 106 & Park Thursday evening, The Dream was surprised when host Bow Wow, and his girlfriend co-host Angela Simmons invoked Kelly Rowland and Dj Khaled to help present him the plaque highlighting his accomplishments. The Dream was on hand to merely promote his new album and perform fan favorites such as "Rockin That Thang" and new hit "IV Play," but BET appropriately noted his talent as one of the best song writers in the game.
The Dream performs "Rockin That Thang," and "IV Play:"
The Dream is not only the man behind his own hits, he also wrote “Baby,” for Justin Bieber, Rihanna’s game changing hit “Umbrella” and Beyoncé’s international sensation “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It.)
While The Dream also known as the “Radio Killer,” has won Grammy Awards for his work on Jay-Z and Kanye’s Watch The Throne for “No Church In the Wild,” Bey’s “ Single Ladies” and more, he has never won on account of his own music. Although industry insiders respect his craft, when will the The Dream get the accolades that he deserves? Clearly BET felt the same way. Watch Kelly Rowland, Angela Simmons, and Bow Wow surprise Dream with a noteworthy plaque.
It is not doubt that all of Dream’s albums are hot baby making soundtracks, and his latest IV Play is no exception. Do you forsee a Grammy nomination for The Dream's solo work in the near future?
