Surprise, surprise. The most cleverly marketed album in quite a while (Daft Punk's Random Access Memories) continues to dominate the charts. The album topped the UK sales charts for the second week in a row with sales of 53,000. This brought their two-week total to 218,000 (source).

The album also sits atop the Billboard 200, the Digital Albums chart and the Tastemaker Albums charts. The album has piqued the interest of listeners as Daft Punk's Discovery tops the Catalog Albums charts (showcasing sales of old albums).

Their leadoff single "Get Lucky" maintains its high chart position on the UK singles chart, coming in at number 3, behind Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" (1) and Naughty Boy's "La LaLa" (2). The song tops Billboard's On-Demand Charts, which documents airplay on listener-controlled radio stations and music subscription services. The song had dropped to number 3 last as Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us" took the top of the charts. However, the rapper's "Thrift Shop" followup conceded the top spot to Daft Punk once more.

(The release of Random Access Memories has largely seemed like Daft Punk v. Macklemore. The French duo has gone back and forth with the rapper on the charts and famously broke his Spotify streaming record with "Get Lucky." Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" held the title before.)

Daft Punk have continued their excellent marketing campaign following the album's release. They were recently spotted at Le Grand Prix de Monaco. The duo currently have no plans to tour in support of Random Access Memories
