The results broadcast for Top 6 week of Season 4 of NBC's "The Voice" aired Tuesday night and one contestant was eliminated from the popular reality singing competition.
The night kicked off with the debut of Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope's new single, "Wasting All These Tears." Pope delivered a powerful performance and host Carson Daly asked her a few questions about the lyrics afterwards.
Michelle Chamuel and Sasha Allen teamed up for a duet on Madonna's "Open Your Heart." The two worked together nicely as they moved among the crowd during the performance.
Holly Tucker and The Swon Brothers got together for an all-Team Blake rendition of The Wreckers' "Leave This Place." The song choice was spot on for the country artists' vocals.
In the final duet, Amber Carrington and Danielle Bradbery joined forces on The Bangles' "Eternal Flame." Their powerful vocals combined to belt the 80s ballad to the back row.
As for the results of the show, Carson Daly unveiled in this order throughout the broadcast that the following four artists made it through safely to the Top 5:
Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher)
Sasha Allen (Team Shakira)
Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake)
Amber Carrington (Team Adam)
That left Holly Tucker and The Swon Brothers, two of Blake Shelton's acts, in danger of elimination. And in the end, America voted Holly Tucker out of the competition.
The country singer began to cry on stage but the elimination announcement came so close to the end of the show (as it usually does) that the audience barely had a chance to say goodbye.
The Top 5 will compete next week as Season 4 of "The Voice" moves toward the finals.
