Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Eric Church came together for a stellar performance in the 2012 CMA Awards. The three played a new rendition of the song "The Only Way I Know" which allowed them to rise to the top at this year's 2013 CMT Awards, giving them the win in the Collaborative Video of the Year category.
"I want to thank Jason for letting us do it," said Eric Church while on stage, according to CMT.com. "CMT, the fans, and Luke, wherever the hell he is."
"I know he'd be up here stumbling around his words for about five minutes," continued Jason Aldean, "trying to thank everybody and probably crying..."
Their award winning performance can be viewed right here on MStarz:
A huge American flag hung behind the three while large yellow pillars of fire bellowed from behind them. Red, white and blue lights flashed and lit the stage. The end of the show featured hand shakes and hugs exchanged between all three performers.
The three had a fierce amount of extremely talented competition to beat out for the number one position.
Brad Paisley and Joe Walsh of the Eagles paired up for an electric performance of "Rocky Mountain Way" at CMT crossroads. The two are a couple of the most talented guitarists in the world, and you can view that performance right here:
The two spend about three minutes exchanging solos, and for the last few bars of the instrumental we are treated to a collaboration of guitar play from two legends.
Other nominated acts were Kelly Clarkson and Vince Gill's performance of "Don't Rush" from the 2012 CMA awards, and Kenny Chesney with Tim McGraw singing "Feel Like a Rockstar."
