Michael Jackson and Scott Thorson Sexual Fling? Former Flame of Liberace Admits to Secret Six Year Romance with 'Thriller' Pop Icon

Scott Thorson, the former driver and lover of Liberace (now being played by Matt Damon in HBO's "Behind The Candelabra") has claimed to a romantic bond with Michael Jackson that lasted for years. It cannot be emphasized enough how word-of-mouth this news is. 

Thorson came forth with the story when doing an interview with The Sun newspaper. It's not the first time he's made the claim; he told The National Enquirer of the affair in 2004, and Jackson's attorney referred to it as "false trash."

But, for the sake of argument: Thorson claims to have met Jackson while in the company of Liberace at the pianist's home in Palm Springs. The trio was recovering from a round of plastic surgery and the two struck up conversation. Thorson played the "he-came-on-to-me" card and claims that their romantic meetings would continue for "six or seven years." 

Thorson claims that the affair began around the time that "Thriller" was released, which makes sense from his perspective. The former driver had just filed a $113 million palimony suit against Liberace, claiming infidelity. It would be an opportune time for him to start anew. But the story could be just a little too convenient.

Thorson doesn't exactly have the cleanest hands. At the time of the lawsuit against Liberace, he was struggling through drug addiction. A few weeks prior to his interview with The Sun, Thorson was arrested in Reno, NV on charges of burglary. 

Among his other talking points during the interview, Thorson griped that he wasn't receiving enough for the television program's success ("Beyond The Candelabra" was the title of Thorson's 1988 memoir). The HBO program debuted with 2.4 million viewers. 

The Jackson family should probably put this claim at the bottom of its problem pile.
