Hiezman winner to star in Country Music Video

Johnny Manziel is to appear in a new country music video. Country artist Granger Smith has made a video for his song "Silverado Bench Seat." ESPNU will debut the music video on their station at 3:30 p.m. ET during College Football Live.

"It goes right alongside what he's been doing," said Smith, a 2002 graduate of Texas A&M and a lifelong Aggies fan according to USATODAY. "He's entered the pop culture like no A&M quarterback ever has - rarely has any college quarterback entered the pop culture. I think at first it made everyone nervous: 'How's this gonna pan out? Is he gonna end up in trouble somewhere?' But I think we've all embraced his personality. This is just him, how he embraces life to the fullest."

Manziel wasn't paid for his performance. Granger told USATODAY that he would be excommunicated from the Aggies if he were to have paid him for it.

"This video isn't gonna change any lives or turn country music around or anything," Smith said to USATODAY. "We didn't want it to. We just wanted it to flow. We just wanted a day in the life of a couple with a truck sharing moments together.

Johnny Manziel is also known by the alias, Johnny Football. He was the first Freshman to ever win the Heizman trophy, which he received in 2012. He has received over 10 different rewards and honors over the last year, making him one of the most decorated college football players out there right now.
