In spite of thier just announced new album and destined to be succesful festival circuit, It appears that no one wants to be a part of the newly reunited Nine Inch Nails touring lineup except for Trent Reznor. King Crimson guitarist Adrian Belew quit the touring act prior to thier festival tour via Facebook post.

According to Consequence of Sound, Belew posted the following on Thursday (the post has since been deleted):

"hey folks, before this goes too far let me say this: I greatly respect trent and the music he makes. no one is at fault. we both agreed it just was not working. I'm sorry to disappoint anyone. that really hurts. but NIN will do an amazing show and I am back where I belong: creating FLUX."

SPIN points out that FLUX is an "interactive listening program that Belew is developing."

Belew replaced the deleted Facebook post with the following: "concerning me being part of the 2013 Nine Inch Nails band: it didn't work."

Belew's departure comes amidst a tidal wave of Nine Inch Nails news. There new single "Come Back Haunted" debuted last week. They've also announced a new album called Hesitation Marks that will hit shelves September 3.

Belew is the second member to leave the band in the last month. Bassist Eric Avery quit the act claiming he felt "overwhelmed."
